Lez not argue on Valentines Day

LL says:

Of course we had to work on Valentines Day. And of course we like to torture ourselves. And of course there was some arguing. Not to mention J feeling a little sick, stomach flu maybe. Or quite possibility the ensuing VISA flu due to recent appliance and electrical purchases. We must press on though, press on - love on!

There's a first time for everything!

LL says:

So - we had a couple friends over for dinner the other night and one of them really wanted to cut out the closet opening in a bedroom. Jimmy (aptly named after the previous owner and his willy-nilly approach to home reno's) decided that he wanted to close in half of a closet with drywall. Which didn't really make sense to me, so I decided it needed to go. So, there we are, showing our peeps around, and cutting walls at 10:30pm. Take that noisy, partying neighbours!

Lez reach that finish line!

LL says:

What have we been up to you ask? Well, working of course! Yes, working. Building pony walls, insulating walls, having the plumber over and now the electrical business is currently being tackled. Many trips to Homo depot and Rona have delayed things a bit but it makes a difference when you see noticeable progress, and it gets me excited to finish. Although, we are pretty far away from that finish line. Someone should hand us a gold medal when we are done. Just like in the coming Winter Olympics. I'm sure getting around this city in the coming weeks is going to be torturous so we should plan accordingly and get EVERYTHING we need to reach that finish line. Famous last words. We are pretty bad at that. ;)

Here's a video that describes our pony wall debate and where are with it:

What's next? Well, the plumbing in the bathroom is pretty much done, so that means chipping away at the concrete around the old toilet, get a new toilet, sink and bathtub fixtures, re-drywall and build yet another pony wall! Not to fret, this one is going to be easy as its not so convoluted and small. And I was just informed by the electrician that the inspector will be by before the weekend so we can FINISH the pony wall in the living room and drywall the kitchen. Busy Valentine weekend my friends, busy weekend. How romantic.
